7 Signs of a Strong Brand

What is a brand?

Good question. Many business owners know they need a brand – but most don’t know how the heck to recognize if or what their brand is.

A brand is a set of characteristics that separate themselves from others using a name, logo, symbol, tagline, design, and more. It’s how a customer experiences your overall message and business.

According to a 2015 global Nielsen survey, shoppers who actively buy from a brand they know are around 60%. Shoppers who buy on account of liking the brand individually are 21%.

So how can you make your brand stand out from others? Here are 7 signs of a strong brand and how to achieve greatness.

  • Clear – You have a clear message, and your target audience understands what you’re here to do. You’ll want to make sure your message is consistent throughout all your marketing efforts.

  • Relevant – You speak directly to your target audience’s current situation and biggest struggles. Don’t start talking about things that will pull away from your brand – like politics, religion, or personal opinions. Stay away.

  • Passionate – Your target audience can sense your vision, what you believe in, and what you stand for. Having testimonials or behind the scene, photos/videos are a great way to introduce your audience to your brand and what you’re most passionate about.

  • Distinct – It’s obvious how you’re different and why you’re the best fit for your target audience. It’s OK to be different. You’ll attract the right client by being authentic to your business and brand.

  • Credible – Your target audience trusts you and believes you can deliver what you promise. Customer service is number one! Many people leave their current company because they aren’t satisfied with the way their current company treats them.
