Recently I was asked to provide a "holiday-themed" sales pitch for my weekly networking group. The goal was to provide 3 Christmas words and incorporate them into your pitch. I decided to take it one step further and create a pitch to the theme of, "Twas The Night Before Christmas" poem. I wanted to share with you all as I thought it was fun to read, and even to write:
‘Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the home;
a business owner couldn’t sleep,
his thoughts were on roam.
His ideas were hung,
on his whiteboard with care;
in hopes that a marketing plan,
will soon be there.
His clients were out,
for Christmas Eve night;
they didn’t have a thought,
of how their marketing will ignite.
He sat at his desk,
in his hand a nightcap;
he was ready to give up,
thinking time for a nap.
When in his email inbox,
there was a small ping;
an email from Sharon,
his heart started to sing!
He clicked on the email,
and saw what she’s done;
it was a email for him,
titled, “Marketing 2021”.
He glanced at the content,
his wondering eyes did note;
he knew this was special,
and what she said, I quote:
“The future may be tough,
to think about, I know;
but follow these tips,
your New Year will grow.
Lean into digital,
technology they see;
increase your game,
social media is key.
Map out your year,
a few months at a time;
build in flexibility,
focus on your prime.
Focus on metrics,
analytics and more;
look at all spending,
your business should soar.”
At the end of the email,
his brain full of thought;
in a small twinkling,
he’d give it a shot.
The prancing and pawing,
of each idea in his head;
his fingers found the keyboard,
typing what she said.
The week after next,
to his team gave a shout;
he showed what he’d learn,
there was no more to pout.
With new skills learned,
there was great success;
they increased profits,
they reached great success!
For those that think;
marketing is a fright,
contact Sharon,
and all have a good night!
